Johnson Cemetery
This cemetery found on Blocker Road, off of Highway 27, Crystal Springs, is a private family burial place for descendants of Daniel Johnson, Revolutionary War patriot and first person buried here. The site is part of the Johnson's original family homestead when they arrived in Copiah County.
Revolutionary War Patriot markers were placed on Daniel Johnson's grave by the Copiah Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution on October 13, 1935, and by the Central Mississippi Chapter Sons of the American Revolution on May 6, 2001. Sons of Confederate Veterans reenactors perticipated in a marker dedication ceremony on May 7, 2000 for Clark M. Johnson.
This is just more proof of all of the history that resides in Copiah County!!
